Health and Safety Protocols for the technician and clients:
Sherry Johnson is a registered piano technician (RPT) and holds a craftsman-level membership in the Piano Technicians Guild. She has been tuning and repairing pianos in the Triad area for the last several years. Prior to becoming a registered piano technician, Sherry was mentored by the finest piano technicians in the Triad and underwent extensive classwork and testing in order to master such a complex process. She believes that the person hiring you should have the confidence that your skills as a technician have been tested and proved and that you can service the piano in whatever way is needed.
"The piano is one of the world's most fascinating inventions and I enjoy being able to make them function as intended. To bring a piano that is flat and sour sounding, to one that is sweet and harmonious is incredibly rewarding." - Sherry Johnson
Always on time, always professional, Sherry Johnson has been our go to Piano Tuner for some years now.
The quality of her work on our house Steinway D has pleased a number of international recording artists such as: The Branford Marsalis Quartet, The Brubeck Brothers Quartet, The Manhattan Transfer, Clint Holmes, Kirk Whalum, Nnenna Freelon, Take 6, The NY Gilbert & Sullivan Players, Al Di Meola, Emile Pandolfi, George Winston, and several others.
We selfishly hope she will never become too big to take our calls.

Davie County Arts Council has had the good fortune of having Sherry Johnson to keep our Steinway ready for numerous performances for the past four years. She has also been in attendance at concerts to give technical support to artists from across the United States. I have enjoyed the professional talents she has provided to the Brock Performing Arts Center.

I first became acquainted with Sherry Johnson in 2019 upon the recommendation of a colleague. Since that time, I have found her to be very professional and always punctual.
In 2020, she completed restoration with for the Steinway in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church in Lexington, NC, where she replaced the bass strings and all the hammers. She then voiced the instrument and fully regulated teh action to Steinway specifications.
We simply could not be more pleased! In fact, I was so impressed with her abilities, that I engaged her exclusively to maintain the Steinway in my home as well.
I fully recommend Sherry Johnson without any hesitation.
